Western Harbour is currently a bare site on reclaimed land along the water front in Leith, Edinburgh. There are existing proposals to build flats and houses on the site in a neo-classical style that mimics that of New Town, Edinburgh, which are due to be completed by 2020.

The site has views out to sea and also back into the city, with the main landmarks still visible, though these will be largely blocked by the future development. There is a coastal walk that connects much of the waterfront along Granton and Leith that leads around the site.

The reclaimed land means that some of the ground is still settling and is unstable; the northern edge is the most stable. It also means that there are very poor nutrients in the ground and thus poor growing conditions. Due to the sites position jutting out into the sea it is very exposed to strong winds, though the proposed flats would provide some shelter. Finally, there are also plans to build a school to the West of the park.
